If you are driving from Plage de Saziley, head north on Route Nationale 1 (N1) towards Mamoudzou. Continue on N1 for approximately 15 kilometers. Look for signs directing you towards Grande-Terre. Once you reach the intersection with Route de Grande-Terre, take a left turn and follow the road which will lead you directly to Grande-Terre. The drive should take about 25-30 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you have enough fuel as gas stations can be limited in more remote areas.

Public Transportation
To reach Grande-Terre using public transportation, start by taking a local taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Plage de Saziley to Mamoudzou. The taxi-brousse typically departs from designated stops throughout the area; ask locals for the nearest stop. The journey to Mamoudzou will take roughly 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Mamoudzou, transfer to another taxi-brousse heading towards Grande-Terre. The fare for the taxi-brousse from Plage de Saziley to Mamoudzou is around 1,000 XPF (about 10 USD), and the fare for the second leg to Grande-Terre will be similar.
