From the center of Acapulco Tradicional, walk towards Av. Costera Miguel Alemán. This is one of the main roads in Acapulco. Once you reach the Costera, head east towards Av. Niños Heroes de Veracruz. Continue walking for about 20-25 minutes until you reach the intersection with Av. Niños Heroes de Veracruz. Turn left onto Av. Niños Heroes de Veracruz and continue walking for approximately 10 minutes. You will see Parque Papagayo on your right side.

Look for a local bus heading towards the Alta Costa Azul area. Buses are usually marked with their destination. Get on the bus that indicates 'Alta Costa Azul' or 'Papagayo'. The fare is typically around 10-15 pesos. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to go to Parque Papagayo. The bus will drop you off near the park entrance, and from there you can walk a short distance to the park.
