Walking
Starting from the main square in Acapulco Tradicional, head south towards Calle Juan de la Barrera. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront. Once you reach the beach promenade (Costera Miguel Alemán), turn left and walk along the seaside. Follow the path as it curves around the bay. This walk typically takes about 15-20 minutes and offers picturesque views of the bay area.
Public Bus
From Acapulco Tradicional, find a bus stop near the main square. Look for buses heading towards 'Costera' or 'La Quebrada.' The fare is approximately 10 MXN. After about 10-15 minutes, get off at the 'Costera Miguel Alemán' stop. From there, walk towards the beach, which will be directly in front of you. This method gives you a glimpse of local life and is cost-effective.
Taxi
You can easily find a taxi in Acapulco Tradicional. Hail a taxi and tell the driver 'Acapulco Bay.' The ride should take about 5-10 minutes and cost around 50-70 MXN, depending on traffic. It's a quick and convenient option if you have luggage or prefer not to walk.
Bicycle Rental
If you enjoy cycling, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in Acapulco Tradicional. Once you have a bike, head towards the beach by cycling down to Costera Miguel Alemán. The ride is pleasant and scenic, taking about 10-15 minutes. Rental prices vary but typically start at around 100 MXN for an hour.
