Bus
From Acapulco, head to the main bus terminal, Estrella de Oro, located on Avenida Cuauhtémoc. You can take a taxi or use local buses to reach the terminal. Once at Estrella de Oro, purchase a ticket to the town of Técpan de Galeana, which is the closest major town to Tehuacalco. The bus ride will take approximately 2 to 3 hours. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will stop at Técpan de Galeana.
Local Transport (Taxi or Collectivo)
Upon arriving in Técpan de Galeana, exit the bus terminal and look for local transport options. You can take a taxi or a collectivo (shared van) to Tehuacalco. If you choose a collectivo, board one that has 'Tehuacalco' indicated on it. The journey will take about 30 to 40 minutes. Inform the driver of your destination to ensure you are dropped off at the archaeological site.
Walking
Once you reach the Tehuacalco archaeological site, you can explore the area on foot. The site is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and offers numerous paths to discover its ancient ruins.
