Head north on Highway 1 (Carretera Transpeninsular) for approximately 40 kilometers (around 25 miles). Watch for signs directing you to the exit for Highway 286 (Carretera a Cacachilas). Take this exit and follow the road for another 15 kilometers (about 9 miles), which will lead you into the foothills of the Sierra de las Cacachilas. Be prepared for unpaved roads; a 4WD vehicle is recommended.
