Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the historic center of Campeche, head towards Calle 8. This street runs parallel to the coast and is centrally located. Start from Plaza de la Independencia, the main square, and walk southwest along Calle 8. You will pass several shops and restaurants. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Puerta de Mar, located at Calle 8, Zona Centro. Look for the distinct archway that marks the entrance to the coastal area.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From your current location in the city center, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for buses heading towards the waterfront. Once on the bus, ask the driver for a stop near Puerta de Mar. The bus ride should take around 10-15 minutes. After getting off, walk a short distance towards Calle 8, which is just a few blocks away. Follow Calle 8 to Puerta de Mar, which will be visible as you approach the coast.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer cycling, look for a bike rental station in the city center. Rent a bike and head towards the waterfront. Follow the coastal bike path or ride along Calle 8. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on your pace. As you approach Puerta de Mar, you will see the landmark archway, which is a great spot to park your bike and explore the area.
