    If you are staying in the historic center of Campeche, start your journey from the Plaza de la Independencia. Head southwest on Calle 8 towards Calle 59. Turn left onto Calle 59 and walk until you reach the intersection with Avenida 16 de Septiembre. Turn right onto Avenida 16 de Septiembre, which will lead you directly to the Malecón.
