Getting there

Bus

From the Cancun Hotel Zone, head to the nearest bus stop, which is usually located along Boulevard Kukulcan. Look for a bus heading towards 'Puerto Juarez' or 'Downtown Cancun'. The fare is very affordable, around 12 pesos. Once on the bus, ask the driver to let you know when you reach Mar Caribe. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop near Mar Caribe 500, walk west for about 5 minutes, and you will reach the Coral Reef.

Bicycle Rental

If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle. There are many rental shops along Boulevard Kukulcan. Rent a bike and head towards the direction of Mar Caribe 500. Follow the signs towards Playa Tortugas, then continue along the coast until you reach the intersection with Mar Caribe. Turn left and ride for about 10 minutes until you reach your destination. Remember to wear a helmet and stay safe on the bike paths.

Taxi

You can take a taxi from anywhere in Cancun to Mar Caribe 500. Make sure to ask the driver for a metered fare or agree on a price before starting your journey. The taxi ride will take about 15-20 minutes from the Hotel Zone and should cost around 150-200 pesos. Simply tell the driver 'Mar Caribe 500' and enjoy the ride.

Walking

If you are close to the Coral Reef, you can walk there. Depending on your starting point, head towards the nearest main road and look for signs directing you to Mar Caribe. If you are in the Hotel Zone, it might take around 30-40 minutes to walk there along the beach path, which is a beautiful scenic route. Just make sure to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen!
