Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Ciudad Victoria, the capital of Tamaulipas. Take the Mexico 85 highway northward and follow the signs to Gómez Farías. After approximately 90 km, you will reach Gómez Farías. From there, follow the signs to Reserva de la Biósfera El Cielo, which is located just outside the town. The park entrance is well marked, and you can expect to pay an entrance fee of around 50 MXN per person.
Public Transportation
To reach Reserva de la Biósfera El Cielo via public transportation, take a bus from Ciudad Victoria to Gómez Farías. Buses frequently leave from the main bus terminal. The journey takes about 2 hours, and a one-way ticket costs approximately 100 MXN. Once you arrive in Gómez Farías, you can either take a taxi or a local bus to the entrance of the reserve, which is about 10 km away. Taxis may charge around 150-200 MXN for the short ride.
Taxi
If you're in a nearby city like Monterrey or San Luis Potosí, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to Reserva de la Biósfera El Cielo. This option is more expensive, typically costing between 1,500 to 2,500 MXN depending on the distance. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand or ask for a metered taxi service.
