Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Tecpán de Galeana. Head northwest on the main road (Federal Highway 200) towards Playa El Carrizal. Continue driving for about 15-20 minutes, following signs for Playa El Carrizal. You will notice a turn-off for the beach on your right. Take this turn and follow the dirt road until you reach the beach parking area. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads, as the last stretch may be rough.
Public Transportation
To reach Playa El Carrizal via public transportation, first take a bus from Acapulco or another nearby city to Tecpán de Galeana. Once you arrive in Tecpán, look for a local colectivo (shared taxi) that is heading towards Playa El Carrizal. The colectivo should have a sign indicating its destination. The fare for the colectivo is typically around 30-50 pesos. Be sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off at the beach. The ride should take about 30 minutes.
Walk
If you are already close to the beach area and prefer to walk, from the nearest bus stop in Tecpán de Galeana, walk towards the main road (Federal Highway 200). Head northwest along the road for about 3 kilometers until you see the entrance for Playa El Carrizal on your right. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
