Cervando is very gentle, kind, knowledgeable, and articulate. He made sure our group was comfortable during the entire tour, especially because we had two toddlers on the trip. On the surface, this appears to be just another tour for tourist, but we definitely got more than what we bargained for in a good way. We got more than getting just the information and history about the local area or the country in general, more than just sampling delicacies and the interesting distilled beverages (raicilla, tequila). He seems to be friends with everyone, and with that, we experienced something truly local. Through our conversations, it is clear that he sincerely cares deeply about Mexico his home and the places that we visited. We caught a glimpse of what he explained to be an archetype of an ideal and virtuous Mexican, and we believe he is a good example of one. We are very happy we booked this tour because it was highly enjoyable and enriching!

Best cantaritos I’ve tried so far

The overall tour was good and only suffered from issues that were outside of the tour’s control. The cantaritos in this tour specifically are actually the best I tried out of the tours I’ve taken in Mexico. I would’ve enjoyed more time in Ajijic rather than chapala as some of those vendors looked more genuine craftsman rather than mass productions.
