Start at the main square in San Javier, where you'll find the local market. Head southeast on Calle de la Paz for approximately 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenida de la Luz. Turn right onto Avenida de la Luz and continue for another 600 meters until you see the signs for El Cerro de La Bufa. The path will start to incline as you approach the base of the hill.

From the main square in San Javier, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Calle de la Paz. Take bus number 3 or 5, which heads towards the city center of Guanajuato. Alight at the stop named 'Cerro de la Bufa'. The fare is approximately 10 pesos. From the bus stop, follow the path leading up to El Cerro de La Bufa, which is well-marked and should take about 15-20 minutes to walk up.
