If you are staying in the central area of Holbox, you can easily walk to La Cabañita for sunset. Start from the main square (Plaza Principal) and head south on Avenida Pedro Joaquín Coldwell. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with C. Lisa. La Cabañita is located at C. Lisa 2, which is between Paseo Carey and Avenida Pedro Joaquín Coldwell. The walk should take you about 10-15 minutes.
Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from various rental shops around the main square in Holbox. Once you have your bike, head south on Avenida Pedro Joaquín Coldwell. When you reach the intersection with C. Lisa, turn left and continue to La Cabañita, located at C. Lisa 2. The ride should take around 5-10 minutes. Rental prices typically range from 150 to 200 MXN per day.
Golf Cart
Another popular option for getting around Holbox is by renting a golf cart. You can hire a golf cart from various rental services near the main square. Drive south on Avenida Pedro Joaquín Coldwell and make a left turn onto C. Lisa. La Cabañita will be on your right at number 2. The drive should take around 5 minutes and usually costs about 800 to 1200 MXN for a full day rental.
Public Transportation (Collectivo)
While Holbox does not have traditional public transport, you may find shared golf carts (collectivos) that operate along the main streets. You can catch a collectivo from the main square heading towards the south end of the island. Ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection of Avenida Pedro Joaquín Coldwell and C. Lisa. From there, it's a short walk to La Cabañita, located at C. Lisa 2. The fare is typically about 20 MXN per person.
