To reach La Isla De Ixtapa from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, start by heading to the Ixtapa Marina. From the main boulevard, walk towards the marina, which is easily recognizable and has boat rentals. Once at the marina, look for the boat services that offer trips to La Isla De Ixtapa. The boats usually depart every 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm the round-trip fare with the boat operator, as well as the return schedule. The boat ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, and you'll enjoy beautiful views of the coastline along the way.

If you are already in the area and want to explore on foot, walk towards Playa El Palmar, which is the main beach in Ixtapa. From there, you can see La Isla De Ixtapa in the distance. Although you cannot walk directly to the island, you can enjoy the beach and then head to the marina as described above to catch a boat to the island.

If you are further away from the marina, you can use local buses or colectivos (shared vans) to get closer to the Ixtapa Marina.
