Taxi
From your location in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, you can hail a taxi to take you to Playa Contramar. Make sure to tell the driver you're going to Playa Contramar located at P.º del Morro 17, Centro, Zihuatanejo. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis are readily available in both Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.
Public Bus
Head to the nearest bus stop in Ixtapa. Look for a bus that is headed towards Zihuatanejo. The fare is inexpensive, typically around 10-15 pesos. Once you arrive in Zihuatanejo, ask the driver to let you off near the Centro area. From there, walk towards P.º del Morro, following the signs to Playa Contramar. The walk should take about 10-15 minutes.
Bicycle Rental
Many hotels and rental shops in Ixtapa offer bicycles for rent. Rent a bicycle and head towards the main road leading to Zihuatanejo. Follow the signs toward the Centro area. Once in Centro, continue to P.º del Morro 17, which will lead you directly to Playa Contramar. The ride should take around 30-40 minutes depending on your speed.
Walking
If you are staying in Zihuatanejo, you can walk to Playa Contramar. Start from the town center and head towards the beach. Follow the coastal promenade until you reach P.º del Morro. The beach is located at P.º del Morro 17. The walk may take around 30-40 minutes, but it is a pleasant route with views of the ocean.
