From your location in Los Altos de Jalisco, head towards Guadalajara by taking Highway 80 (Carretera a Guadalajara). Follow the signs for Guadalajara and stay on this highway. Once you reach Guadalajara, take the exit towards Av. 8 de Julio and merge onto Av. 8 de Julio. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Av. Miguel de la Madrid. Turn right onto Av. Miguel de la Madrid, then take the first left onto C. P.º del Zoológico. Continue on this road and you will find Zoologico Guadalajara on your left. Parking is available at the zoo, which may incur a small fee (approximately 30-50 pesos).

To reach Zoologico Guadalajara via public transport, take a local bus from Los Altos de Jalisco to Guadalajara. Look for buses heading to 'Guadalajara Centro' or 'Guadalajara Norte'. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Guadalajara, transfer to bus route 9, which goes towards Huentitán El Alto. Ask the driver to let you off at the stop for 'Zoologico Guadalajara', which is directly in front of the zoo. The bus fare from Los Altos to Guadalajara is approximately 50-100 pesos, and the fare for the local bus is around 10 pesos.
