Start from the central square of Matamoros, Plaza principal. Head east on Calle 1 until you reach the intersection with Calle 6. Turn right onto Calle 6 and continue until you reach Avenida 16 de Septiembre. Here, you can either continue walking or take a bus heading towards Estero San Pablo area. If walking, turn left on Avenida 16 de Septiembre and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers, passing several shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for local signage. After 1.5 kilometers, turn right onto Rigo Tovar Street, and you will see the Monumento A Rigo Tovar on your left. It's a distinctive structure, so it should be easy to spot.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the central square of Matamoros, Plaza principal, find the nearest bus stop. Look for buses that are heading towards Estero San Pablo. Once on the bus, ask the driver to let you know when to stop for Monumento A Rigo Tovar. After about 15-20 minutes on the bus, get off at the stop near Rigo Tovar Street.
