If you are near a metro station, take Line 2 (the blue line) towards Tasqueña. Get off at the Zócalo/Tenochtitlan station. Once you exit the station, you will be at the Zócalo (Plaza de la Constitución). The Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral is located on the north side of the square. Just walk straight ahead to reach the entrance.

Once you get off, head towards the Zócalo (Plaza de la Constitución). The Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral will be directly in front of you as you approach the square.
