Getting There

  • Bus

    From Mexico City, head to the Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Pasajeros del Norte (North Bus Terminal). You can take the Metro Line 5 (Yellow Line) to Pantitlan and transfer to Line 1 (Pink Line) to get to Tacuba station, then take a taxi or walk to the North Bus Terminal. Purchase a ticket to Malinalco at the terminal. The bus ride takes approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival at the Malinalco bus station, exit the terminal and follow the signs to the Zona Arqueológica de Malinalco, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill.

  • Shared Van (Colectivo)

    Alternatively, you can take a shared van (colectivo) from the Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Pasajeros del Norte. Take the Metro to Tacuba station, then take a taxi to the terminal. Look for vans heading to Malinalco. The journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. After you arrive in Malinalco, you can either take a taxi or walk to the archaeological site, which is about a 15-minute walk.
