Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Costa Grande, take the highway towards Acapulco. You will want to follow the signs for the Autopista del Sol (Highway 95D). Continue on this highway until you reach the exit for Taxco, which is well marked. After exiting, follow the signs to Taxco (about 45 minutes from the highway exit). Once in Taxco, look for the signs directing you to Parque Nacional Grutas de Cacahuamilpa. The park is located about 30 minutes north of Taxco. Ensure that you have some cash on hand for tolls along the highway, which can range around 200-300 MXN.

  For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from any major town in Costa Grande (like Zihuatanejo or Ixtapa) towards Taxco.
