Car
If you're starting from Ciudad Juárez, head southeast on Avenida 16 de Septiembre toward the Carretera Panamericana (Mexican Federal Highway 45). Follow the highway for approximately 2.5 hours, passing through the town of Ojinaga. Once you reach Ojinaga, take the exit toward Ojinaga Centro, and continue following the signs for Peguis Canyon. The canyon is approximately 20 minutes from Ojinaga, along a dirt road that leads to the canyon entrance. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for these road conditions.
Public Transportation
From Ciudad Juárez, you can take a bus to Ojinaga. Bus companies like Estrella Blanca and Chihuahuenses operate services that run several times a day. The bus journey will take around 3 to 4 hours. Once in Ojinaga, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a ride-share to reach Peguis Canyon, which is about a 20-minute drive away. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as taxis in smaller towns may not use meters.
Taxi or Ride-share
If you prefer a direct route from Ojinaga to Peguis Canyon after arriving by bus, you can take a taxi. The ride should cost around 200 to 300 MXN (approximately $10 to $15 USD). Make sure to confirm the price before starting your journey. Alternatively, check for ride-sharing options, which may be available in the area.
