Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Mérida, Yucatán. Take the Muna-Tizimin Highway (Mex 180) heading east. After approximately 60 kilometers, take the exit toward Chichén Itzá/Tinum. Follow the signs for Tinum, and after about 25 kilometers, you will arrive at El Castillo, located in the archaeological site of Chichén Itzá. Parking is available near the entrance, but expect a fee of around 50-100 MXN.
Bus
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Mérida to Tinum. Buses leave from the Merida ADO bus terminal and take about 2 hours to reach Tinum. Once in Tinum, you can either walk the 2 kilometers to the entrance of Chichén Itzá or take a taxi, which should cost approximately 50-70 MXN. Ensure you check the bus schedule ahead of time for return trips.
Taxi or Rideshare
