Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto the main highways that lead to Mexico City. Depending on your starting point in Northern Mexico, you may take the following highways: from Monterrey, take the Highway 85 to Mexico City; from Chihuahua, take the Highway 45 south to connect with Highway 57. Once in Mexico City, follow signs to 'Centro Histórico.' Use a GPS or navigation app for real-time guidance to 'Seminario 8, Centro Histórico de la Cdad. de México.' Parking may be available nearby, but be sure to check for any associated costs, which can vary by location.
Bus
For those opting for public transportation, consider taking a long-distance bus from your location to Mexico City. Major bus lines like ADO or Estrella Blanca provide service from many cities in Northern Mexico. Upon arrival at the Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Pasajeros de Norte in Mexico City, you can take the Metro Line 5 (the yellow line) to Pantitlán and transfer to Line 1 (the pink line) towards Tacubaya. Get off at the Pino Suárez station. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the Templo Mayor Museum located at Seminario 8. Be prepared to pay for both the bus fare and the Metro fare.
Metro
Once you are in Mexico City, the Metro is one of the most efficient ways to reach the Templo Mayor Museum. If you are near a Metro station, find your way to Line 2 (the blue line) and take the train towards Tasqueña. Get off at the Zócalo-Tenochtitlan station. From there, exit the station and walk towards the main square (Zócalo), then head towards the Templo Mayor Museum located at Seminario 8. The Metro fare is affordable, typically costing around 5 MXN.
