From the center of Oaxaca, head to the 'Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros ADO' located at 1a. Calle de Manuel García Vigil. Once there, purchase a ticket for a bus headed to Tlacolula de Matamoros. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at the Tlacolula bus terminal, you can take a local taxi or a colectivo (shared taxi) that will take you towards San Jerónimo Tlacochahuaya. Ask the driver to drop you off at 'Dainzú', which is about a 10-minute ride from the terminal.

From the Zócalo (main square) in Oaxaca, walk to the corner of Calle de Independencia and Calle de 5 de Febrero. Here, you will find colectivos (shared taxis) that are heading towards Tlacolula. Get in one of these colectivos, and inform the driver you are going to 'Dainzú' or 'San Jerónimo Tlacochahuaya'. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive, you can walk to the archaeological site, which is about a 15-minute walk from the main road.
