From the center of Oaxaca, head to the 'Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros ADO' located on Avenida Independencia. Purchase a ticket to Ocotlán de Morelos. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Ocotlán, disembark at the main bus terminal. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the Ex-Convento de Santo Domingo. Head east on Calle Morelos, turn left onto Calle Maximiliano Amador, and the Ex-Convento will be on your right.

If you're looking for a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in Oaxaca. Just tell the driver 'Ex-Convento de Santo Domingo en Ocotlán de Morelos'. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand if you're not using a rideshare app.
Bicycle

The ride is around 25 kilometers and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Be sure to follow the main road and watch for traffic. Once you arrive in Ocotlán, navigate to Maximiliano Amador where you'll find the Ex-Convento de Santo Domingo.
Walking
If you're feeling energetic and don’t mind a longer journey, you can walk to Ocotlán. Begin on Avenida Independencia heading southeast out of the city. It’s a distance of approximately 25 kilometers, so prepare for a long trek of about 5-6 hours. Follow the road signs toward Ocotlán and when you arrive, head towards Maximiliano Amador where the Ex-Convento is located.
