From the city center of Oaxaca, head to the 'Terminal de Autobuses ADO' located at 'Avenida 5 de Febrero 701'. Look for a bus that goes to 'Hierve el Agua' or 'Mitla'. The bus ride takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Mitla bus terminal, you can take a local taxi or a shared taxi (colectivo) to Hierve el Agua, which is about 15-20 minutes away.

From the city center, walk to the 'Calle de las Flores' where you'll find several colectivos heading to Hierve el Agua. They are typically smaller vans and will wait until they are full before departing. This option is cheaper than a private taxi. The ride will take around 1.5 hours. Make sure to tell the driver your destination, and they will drop you off at the entrance to Hierve el Agua.
