Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the center of Playa del Carmen, head south along Avenida 5, which is the main street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Avenida 10. Turn left on Avenida 10 and head east until you reach the beach. From the beach, follow the coastline south until you reach the Playacar area. Once you enter Playacar, you will see signs directing you towards Chichen Itza.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Playa del Carmen. Start your ride on Avenida 5 heading south. When you reach Avenida 10, turn left and ride east to the beach. Continue along the beach path south into Playacar, following the signs towards Chichen Itza.

Public Transport (Collectivo)
From the main bus terminal in Playa del Carmen, look for the collectivos (shared vans) that head to Playacar. Board a collectivo and inform the driver that you are going to Chichen Itza. They will drop you off at the nearest point in Playacar. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to reach the site.
