Getting There

Walking

From the main pedestrian street, Quinta Avenida, head south towards Calle 1. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Avenida 10. Turn left onto Avenida 10 and walk until you reach the edge of Playacar. Once in Playacar, follow the signs towards Playa del Car. The beach is located at the southern end of Playacar, so just keep walking straight until you reach the sandy area.
Collective Taxi (Colectivo)

Find a colectivo (shared taxi) stand on Calle 2 or Calle 1 near Quinta Avenida. Board a colectivo heading towards Playacar. The fare is usually around 20-30 pesos. Inform the driver that you want to go to Playa del Car. The driver will drop you off near the entrance to Playacar, from where you can walk towards the beach by following the signs.
Bicycle Rental

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops located along Quinta Avenida. Once you have your bike, head south on Avenida 10, which will take you directly towards Playacar. Keep following Avenida 10 until you reach the entrance to Playacar. Once inside, follow the path leading to Playa del Car, which is at the southern end of the area.
