Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the main beach area (Playa Zicatela), head southwest along Av. del Morro until you reach the intersection with Av. Oaxaca. Turn left on Av. Oaxaca and continue until you reach the intersection with Calle 26. Turn right on Calle 26 and walk until you reach the entrance to Playa Carrizalillo. The beach is located down a steep set of stairs, so be prepared for a descent. The beach is approximately a 30-minute walk from Playa Zicatela.

• Taxi

  To take a taxi, find a taxi stand or flag down a taxi on the street. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Playa Carrizalillo. The driver will likely know the location as it is a popular tourist destination. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes from the main beach area or the town center, and the fare will typically be around 50-80 pesos.

• Public Transport (Collectivo)

  To use a collectivo, walk to the nearest collectivo stop, which is located on Av. Oaxaca. Look for a collectivo heading towards Puerto Escondido's downtown area. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to get off at Playa Carrizalillo. The collectivo will drop you off at a point close to the beach entrance. From there, follow the signs to the stairs leading down to the beach. The total journey should take around 20-30 minutes.
