Water Taxi

From the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, head to the Los Muertos Pier, which is located at the southern end of the Malecon (the waterfront boardwalk). Look for the water taxis that service the coastline. Board a water taxi heading towards Boca de Tomatlan. Enjoy the scenic ride along the coast for about 30 minutes. Disembark at Boca de Tomatlan.

Upon arriving at Boca de Tomatlan, exit the water taxi and head north along the beach. You will find a trail that leads to Colomitos Beach. The hike is approximately 30-45 minutes and is moderately easy, with some rocky areas. Follow the signs along the path that indicate the direction to Colomitos Beach. Local Bus

Alternatively, from the Malecon, you can take a local bus to Boca de Tomatlan. Catch the bus at the nearest bus stop along the highway (look for buses marked 'Boca de Tomatlan' or 'Mismaloya'). The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Boca de Tomatlan, follow the same hiking directions to Colomitos Beach as mentioned above.
