From the center of Puerto Vallarta, head to the main bus terminal located at Calle 5 de Febrero. Look for buses heading towards El Nogalito or Boca de Tomatlán. Ensure you ask the driver if they stop at El Nogalito, as some may go directly to Boca de Tomatlán. The fare is usually inexpensive, around 10-15 pesos. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the El Nogalito stop, get off and head towards the beach access path.

You can also take a taxi from anywhere in Puerto Vallarta directly to Playa Punta Negra. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your ride; expect to pay around 150-250 pesos depending on your starting point. The taxi will take you through scenic routes and drop you off directly at the beach entrance.
