Walking
If you are in the Centro area, head towards the coast. From the Plaza de Armas, walk west towards the beach. Once you reach Paseo Díaz Ordaz, turn left (south) and follow the promenade. The Puerto Vallarta Malecon will be on your right, stretching along the waterfront. It is a lovely walk with plenty of shops and restaurants along the way.

Public Transportation (Bus)
Find a bus stop along any major road in Puerto Vallarta. Look for buses heading towards Centro or the beach. You can catch a bus for around 10 pesos. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach Paseo Díaz Ordaz. Once you get off, you will see the Malecon directly in front of you. Walk towards the waterfront to enjoy the promenade.

You can easily hail a taxi from anywhere in Puerto Vallarta. Tell the driver you want to go to the Puerto Vallarta Malecon at Paseo Díaz Ordaz. The fare should be reasonable, usually around 50-100 pesos depending on your starting point. The taxi will drop you off right at the Malecon, and you can start exploring the area.
