Boat

To reach Yelapa, you can take a water taxi from the Puerto Vallarta Marina or Los Muertos Beach. If you are at the Marina, head towards the dock area where the water taxis are located. Look for the signs indicating Yelapa. The trip takes about 30 to 40 minutes. If you are starting from Los Muertos Beach, walk towards the south end of the beach, where you will find the water taxi services. Make sure to check the schedule and buy a ticket before boarding. If you prefer to travel by land first, take a bus from Puerto Vallarta to Boca de Tomatlán. Head to the main bus station, located near the city center, and catch a bus heading to Boca de Tomatlán. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Boca de Tomatlán, walk to the beach area where you can find water taxis that will take you to Yelapa. The water taxi ride from Boca de Tomatlán to Yelapa will take around 15 to 20 minutes.

You can also take a taxi to Boca de Tomatlán. If you are in the center of Puerto Vallarta, hail a taxi and inform the driver that you want to go to Boca de Tomatlán. The drive should take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Boca de Tomatlán, head to the beach to catch a water taxi to Yelapa. Make sure to negotiate the fare with the taxi driver before starting your journey.
