To get to Yelapa Beach, start at the Los Muertos Pier in Puerto Vallarta. From the pier, purchase a ticket for a water taxi heading to Yelapa. The taxi ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes and offers stunning views of the coastline. Once you arrive at the Yelapa dock, you’ll be right at the beach entrance.
Bus and Boat
First, take a local bus from the Zona Romantica area towards Boca de Tomatlan. Buses leave frequently and the ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Boca de Tomatlan, look for the water taxi stop. Purchase a ticket for a boat to Yelapa, which will take around 15 minutes. This option allows you to experience both the bus ride through local neighborhoods and the scenic boat trip.
