Car
If you are driving from Playa del Carmen, take the 307 highway south towards Tulum. Continue on the highway for approximately 30 kilometers (about 18 miles). Look for the signs indicating Akumal and the exit for Carr. Cancún - Tulum. After exiting, you will be on Carr. Cancún - Tulum. Drive for about 8 kilometers (5 miles) and keep an eye out for Aktun Chen on your right. There is a parking area available at the attraction.

To reach Aktun Chen by bus from Playa del Carmen, head to the ADO bus terminal located in the center of Playa del Carmen. Purchase a ticket to Akumal. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes.
