If you're traveling by car, start by heading south on the Carretera Federal 307 (Federal Highway 307) from your location in Riviera Maya. Continue driving for approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on your starting point. Look for the signs indicating 'Xcaret' or 'Xcaret Park'. As you approach Playa del Carmen, keep an eye out for the Chetumal-Puerto Juarez Federal Highway, where Mariposario de Xcaret is located at Km. 282. There is parking available at the site, but you may incur a parking fee, so be prepared for that.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a colectivo (shared van) from various locations in Riviera Maya, such as Playa del Carmen or Tulum. Colectivos run frequently and are an affordable option. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Xcaret'. The ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at Xcaret Park, you can either walk or take the internal shuttle to Mariposario de Xcaret. Be aware that entrance to Xcaret Park may require a ticket purchase, which varies in price depending on the package you choose.
