If you are starting from the Jardin Principal, the main square of San Miguel de Allende, head east on Calle José María Morelos. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle Recreo. Turn right onto Recreo and walk straight for another minute until you arrive at Centro Histórico, located at Recreo 6, Zona Centro.

Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to the Jardin Principal. Once you get off, walk towards Calle José María Morelos and follow the directions provided above to reach Centro Histórico.
