Getting There

• Bus

  From the main bus station in San Miguel de Allende, take a bus heading towards Dolores Hidalgo. Buses leave frequently throughout the day, approximately every 30 minutes. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at 'Los Charcos' or 'Rancho Las Puertas', which is about 4-5 kilometers along the route. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Once you get off, you can walk along the carretera towards Rancho Las Puertas, following the road signs, which should take an additional 10-15 minutes.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the town center. Head west on Calle Insurgentes until you reach the intersection with Avenida de la Luz. Turn left onto Avenida de la Luz and continue straight until you reach Carretera San Miguel - Dolores. Turn right onto the Carretera and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Rancho Las Puertas on your right as you approach.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  You can easily hail a taxi from any point in San Miguel de Allende or use a rideshare app like Uber. Provide the driver with the address: 'Carretera San Miguel - Dolores 5-4km, Los Charcos, 37700 San Miguel de Allende, Gto.'. The drive should take around 15 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the main square, El Jardín. Head northwest on Calle de Aldama until you reach Calle de Cuervos. Turn right and continue walking until you reach Carretera San Miguel - Dolores. Turn left onto the Carretera, and keep walking for approximately 4-5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs leading to Rancho Las Puertas, which will be on your right.
