The journey takes about 2 hours. If you're coming from Playa del Carmen, the ADO terminal is also accessible in the town center. Buses run frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive at the Tulum bus station, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) to the archaeological site or catch a local taxi for around 50-70 MXN.
Collectivo
Another popular option is to take a collectivo, a shared minivan that runs between towns. From Playa del Carmen, collectivos leave from the corner of Avenida 15 and Calle 1 Sur.
