Car
If you're traveling by car, the most straightforward route to Sabal Palm Sanctuary is to start from the nearest major city, Brownsville, Texas. From downtown Brownsville, head east on E Elizabeth St toward E 7th St. Turn left onto S 14th St and continue for about 1.5 miles. Take a right onto E 5th St, which will eventually become Sabal Palm Grove Rd. Follow this road for approximately 4 miles, and you will find the sanctuary on your right at 8435 Sabal Palm Grove Rd. Parking is available on-site, and it is free of charge.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take a local bus from Brownsville to the area near Sabal Palm Sanctuary. Start by getting on the Metro Connect bus at a nearby station in Brownsville. You can take Route 1 towards Southmost and get off at the closest stop to the sanctuary. From there, it's about a 15-20 minute walk to reach the sanctuary. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for timings, as they may vary throughout the day. A single bus fare is typically around $1.50.
