Car
If you're driving from locations along the Tamaulipas Coast, take the main highway towards Tampico. If you're coming from Ciudad Madero, follow the signs for Tampico and merge onto Avenida Hidalgo. Continue straight until you reach the city center. Once you get to the downtown area, look for signs directing you to Zona Centro. The cathedral is located at Cap. Emilio Carranza 101, near the main square, where you can find parking options available in nearby lots. Note that parking may incur a fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Tampico Cathedral via public transportation, you can take a bus to Tampico from various coastal towns. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Tampico, look for local buses or taxis that head towards Zona Centro. The cathedral is a short ride away from the terminal. If you opt for a taxi, it should cost around 50-70 MXN. Once you arrive in Zona Centro, the cathedral is easily accessible on foot, located at Cap. Emilio Carranza 101.
Walking
If you are already in the Zona Centro area, you can easily walk to the Tampico Cathedral. From the main square, head towards Cap. Emilio Carranza street. The cathedral is located just a few blocks away, and you will see its distinct architecture from a distance. This area is pedestrian-friendly, so enjoy a leisurely walk while exploring the local shops and cafes.
