The drive is approximately 45 minutes, covering a distance of about 40 kilometers. Once you reach Pátzcuaro, follow the signs to Estribo Grande, which is located on Estribo Grande - Patzcuaro street. Look for the parking area near the viewpoint.

Public Transportation
For those opting for public transportation, take a bus from Tierra Caliente to Pátzcuaro. Buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal, and the journey takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Pátzcuaro bus terminal, you can either take a local taxi to Estribo Grande, which will cost approximately 100-150 MXN, or you can look for a local bus that heads towards the Estribo Grande area.

If you are already in Pátzcuaro and prefer to walk, from the bus terminal, head south on Avenida Lázaro Cárdenas. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Estribo Grande - Patzcuaro. Turn right and walk along this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the Estribo Grande lookout point. This walk will take approximately 25-30 minutes.
