    Car

    If you have access to a car, start your journey from Tierra Caliente. Head northwest towards the town of Tlacolula de Matamoros. From there, take the road to Mitla. Once you reach Mitla, follow the signs towards Hierve el Agua. The drive will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. There is a parking area available at Hierve el Agua where you can leave your vehicle. Note that there is an entrance fee of around 50 MXN per person.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Hierve el Agua using public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Tierra Caliente. Look for a bus heading to Tlacolula de Matamoros. Once you arrive in Tlacolula, you will need to transfer to a minibus or colectivo (shared taxi) heading to Mitla. After reaching Mitla, ask the driver or locals about the next colectivo to Hierve el Agua. The entire journey may take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, including waiting times. Be prepared to pay around 50 MXN for the bus from Tierra Caliente to Tlacolula, and another 30 MXN for the colectivo to Hierve el Agua.
