Getting There

• Public Bus

  From the city center of Tijuana, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for buses heading towards San Ysidro. Once you reach San Ysidro, cross the border into the United States. After passing through customs, you can catch the San Diego Trolley at the San Ysidro border station. Take the Blue Line towards Downtown San Diego. Get off at the City College station and transfer to the Orange Line. Finally, get off at the 12th & Imperial station. From there, walk about 15 minutes to reach the Botanical Building in Balboa Park. Follow 12th Avenue north, then turn left on Market Street, and head west until you reach 6th Avenue. Turn right on 6th Avenue, then left on El Prado, and the Botanical Building will be on your right.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Request a ride to the Botanical Building at 1550 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they understand you want to go to Balboa Park in San Diego. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic, and you will be dropped off directly at the Botanical Building.

• Walking

  If you are already in Tijuana and wish to walk, head towards the pedestrian border crossing at San Ysidro. Once you cross into the United States, follow the signs to the San Diego Trolley. Take the Blue Line towards Downtown San Diego. Get off at the City College station, then transfer to the Orange Line and get off at the 12th & Imperial station.
