Public Transportation (Bus)
From Tijuana, head to the main bus terminal, 'Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Tijuana'. You can take a taxi or use a local bus to get there. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket to 'Chula Vista'. Buses usually depart every 30 minutes. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. After arriving at the Chula Vista bus station, exit the terminal and head towards the nearest bus stop. Look for the MTS bus line 701 or 709 heading towards 'Imperial Beach'. Ride the bus for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the stop near 'Gunpowder Point Dr' or 'Otay Lakes Rd'. From there, you can walk approximately 10-15 minutes to the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge located at 1080 Gunpowder Point Dr, Chula Vista, CA 91910.

If you are in downtown Tijuana, you can walk to the 'Terminal de Autobuses de Pasajeros de Tijuana' which will take about 25-30 minutes. Once there, follow the previous guidance on taking a bus to Chula Vista and then to the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Please ensure you have your identification ready for border crossing.
