Getting There

• Public Transport

  From Tijuana, take the Tijuana to San Diego Trolley service. Board the trolley at the San Ysidro station, which you can reach via a short taxi ride or by walking if you're close enough. The trolley will take you to the San Diego downtown area. Once you arrive, disembark at the 12th & Imperial station. From the station, walk towards the west on Imperial Avenue until you reach 10th Avenue. Turn left on 10th Avenue and continue walking until you reach Broadway. Turn right on Broadway and walk until you reach Balboa Park. The San Diego Model Railroad Museum is located at 1649 El Prado, inside Balboa Park.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) from anywhere in Tijuana to the San Diego Model Railroad Museum. Simply inform the driver you want to go to 1649 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101. The journey will take around 30-45 minutes, depending on border crossing times and traffic conditions.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can walk to the San Ysidro Port of Entry and cross into the United States on foot. After crossing, follow the signs to the San Diego Trolley station. From there, take the trolley to the downtown area. Once at the 12th & Imperial station, walk west on Imperial Avenue to 10th Avenue, turn left, and continue to Broadway. Finally, head right on Broadway to reach Balboa Park, where the museum is located.
