Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    Start by heading to the nearest Tijuana Metro Transit stop. You can use the Tijuana Trolebus (trolley bus) to get to the 'San Ysidro' border crossing. Once you arrive at the border, you will need to walk across to the United States. After crossing, proceed to the San Ysidro Transit Center and board the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus route 992 towards Downtown San Diego. Ride this bus for approximately 20-30 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Pacific Hwy & W Ash St'. From there, transfer to the MTS Route 35 bus towards 'Point Loma'. Stay on this bus for about 30 minutes until you reach 'Ladera St'. Get off the bus and walk to Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.

    If you are near the beach area in Tijuana, you can take a pleasant walk towards the border. Head towards the 'Chapultepec' area and walk towards 'Av. Revolución'. Continue walking until you reach the border. After crossing, you can follow the pedestrian signs to the San Ysidro Transit Center where you can catch the bus to San Diego as mentioned above. This walk will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your pace.

    For those who are feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Tijuana. You can ride to the San Ysidro border crossing via the 'Av. Revolución' towards the border. After crossing into the United States, follow the bike lanes to the San Ysidro Transit Center. Here, you can hop on the MTS bus with bike racks to take you to the stop at 'Pacific Hwy & W Ash St'. From there, switch to Route 35 and ride until you reach 'Ladera St'. The park is only a short distance away from this bus stop.
