From the center of Tulum, head to the main road (Carretera Tulum-Cancún). Look for a collectivo stop, which is often marked by a sign or gathering of people. Collectivos are shared vans that travel along the main highway. Board a collectivo heading towards Playa del Carmen. The fare is typically around 30-50 pesos. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Playa Xpu-Ha; they will know the location. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you reach Playa Xpu-Ha, you'll be dropped off near the entrance to the beach.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Tulum. Head towards the main road (Carretera Tulum-Cancún) and ride north. Stay on the main road for approximately 10 kilometers (about 6 miles). Look for signage or ask locals if you’re unsure. Once you see the signs for Playa Xpu-Ha, follow the road to the beach entrance. This route is scenic and allows you to enjoy the beautiful landscape along the way.
