Walking
If you're starting from the Veracruz Aquarium, head northwest on Avenida 1 towards Calle de la Paz. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Insurgentes Veracruzanos. Turn right onto Insurgentes Veracruzanos, and the Gran Plaza del Malecón will be on your left after a short walk.

From Zocalo de Veracruz, walk north along 16 de Septiembre street until you reach the intersection with 1 de Mayo street. Turn right on 1 de Mayo and continue until you hit the waterfront. Look for the signs directing you to Gran Plaza del Malecón, which should be straight ahead along the promenade.

Public Transport (Bus)
If you are near the Mercado Municipal, take any bus heading towards the malecón. The buses are frequent and will drop you off at various stops along the waterfront. Look for a stop near Insurgentes Veracruzanos, and from there, it’s just a short walk to the Gran Plaza del Malecón.

You can hail a taxi or use a rideshare app. Just provide the driver with the address: Insurgentes Veracruzanos, Centro, 91700 Veracruz. They will know the best route to take, and it should be a direct ride to the Gran Plaza del Malecón.
