From the Malecón in Puerto Vallarta, head to the nearest bus stop on Avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio. Look for a bus heading toward Boca de Tomatlán. The fare is usually very affordable, around 10-12 pesos. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride along the coast for approximately 30-40 minutes. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Boca de Tomatlán, which is your stop. After getting off, you will need to walk towards the beach, following the signs to Colomitos Beach.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi. From the Malecón or any central location in Puerto Vallarta, simply tell the driver 'Colomitos Beach' or show them the address '48424 Jalisco'. The ride should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you agree on a fare before getting in, or ask for the meter to be used. Taxis are a convenient option for those carrying beach gear.

Walking and Boat

For the adventurous, consider walking to the beach. From the Malecón, walk south towards the Marina area. You can take a water taxi from the pier at Playa de los Muertos directly to Boca de Tomatlán.
